Clean the fridge before Eid in a few simple steps
Holy Eid-ul-Azha came! Like Eid-ul-Fitr, there is not much shopping on this Eid, but cleaning the house, cooking, preparing spices - these tasks remain. One of the most important things to do is to clean the fridge before Eid. This Eid, the most pressure is on the fridge. We keep fish and meat in the fridge all year round. These fish may bleed from the flesh, which often spreads bacteria. Besides, excess ice accumulates and wastes a lot of space in the fridge. Fix the specific day
Cleaning the fridge is quite a time consuming task. Cleaning the fridge requires keeping the fridge closed for a long time, there is a chance of spoilage if the food is not stored properly. So fix a specific day to clean the fridge. Before cleaning the refrigerator, remove the items stored in the refrigerator, if there is another refrigerator. Try to keep any perishable food in another cooler.
Disconnect the electrical connection
Before cleaning the refrigerator, disconnect the electrical connection of the refrigerator. Allow the internal ice or temperature to return to normal. After two to three hours, when the ice melts a little, put the old packets away in a safe place.
Separate shelves and drawers
When the ice in the fridge melts a little, open the shelves or drawers inside it. Soak the shelves in lukewarm water. Do not expose the shelves directly to very hot water, as this may cause them to crack. Because they are always in a cold environment in the refrigerator. Remove shelf stains by mixing detergent with a sponge and rubbing it. It will remove blood stains as well as disinfect. Then wash with clean water and dry in the sun or air.
Clean the interior
Clean with baking soda and water. Mix one part baking soda with one part water i.e. mix one cup baking soda with seven cups water to make a mixture. Clean the inside of the fridge thoroughly with a soft sponge. Clean the corners of the fridge with a toothbrush. Finally wipe off with a soft cloth. Use a microfiber cloth to clean the deep freeze. Now put the drawers and shelves inside the fridge.
Clean the outside of the fridge
The outside of the fridge is as dirty as the inside. Especially the refrigerator door gets dirty very quickly due to frequent opening and closing. Wipe the exterior of the refrigerator with an all-purpose cleaner or water mixed with vinegar.
Clean the door rubber
The rubber around the fridge door gets sticky. If it is not cleaned for a long time, small insects can build a nest. Clean the rubber thoroughly with a cloth and brush mixed with vinegar in water.
Refrigerate and then store the food
After cleaning the fridge, turn it on. Then wait for the fridge to cool down. If the temperature of the refrigerator is 5 degrees Celsius or below, keep the food in the refrigerator.
Use thicker paper in the drawer
Use paper in fridge drawers. By doing this, the peels of various vegetables will be applied to the paper without sticking to the drawer. Changing the paper later will clear it up. Calendar paper can be used in this case.
How to keep the fridge odor free
Due to keeping fish, meat, vegetables different foods, a kind of bad smell is created in the fridge. Here are some tips to get rid of this smell:
1) After cleaning the fridge, take a bowl of baking soda and keep it in a corner of the fridge. This will prevent the fridge from smelling bad.
2) Keeping a bowl of dry oatmeal in the fridge will remove the smell.
3) Keep the coffee powder in the fridge, you will see that the smell of the fridge is gone.
4) Vanilla essence is present in almost everyone's home. Dip a small cotton ball in vanilla essence and put it in the fridge to see if the smell will disappear!
5) Use zip lock packets to keep fish, meat in drip freezer.
